hello Friday!
I have been waiting since Christmas time to share this amazing project with you….
it all began with a message from my nephew asking if I could make this quilt of the world with all these different fabrics for the countries…
so…as any good aunt would do, I did some research on the pin he had sent me that his wife had fallen in love with…
and I found out you could purchase the exact one on a pre-printed panel made into a duvet cover…
so he ordered the cover and I cut it apart and then sent it to my quilter…
and I put this fabulous orange binding on as it is Carrie’s favorite color…
and ta-dah…a fabulous world map quilt!!!
since this is a finish…I am linking up with Sarah, Amanda and Myra…
now for some winners…
the winner of Monday’s giveaway is…Julie!!
congratulations!!
I am emailing you…
the winner of Wednesday’s giveaway is…Sandy!!

It’s gorgeous! At first I thought you had pieced each country…the panel is even better!!

What a great idea and what a lovely quilt!!!
I love this quilt. It is intriguing.
Beautiful quilt, and great quilting too!
You do win “Aunt of the year”! I bet that will be a well loved quilt. I was wondering how you were going to applique all of the different countries in different fabrics. Yowza that would have taken some time!
so cool!
Wow! It is a stunning world map.
That map quilt is AWESOME! I bet Nathan and Carrie will love it!
It’s great to see my country New Zealand on your map of the world!
Way to use your available resources… and turn them into a fabulous quilt!!!
