hello Friday!
so…if you have been around here much, you have probably seen the two sided quilt project I have been working on for a good portion of last year…
to read about the making of the border blocks, click here…
so, in order to do this two sided quilt and give it to my long arm quilter, I had to decide that one top would be the “back” and the other the front…
I needed to add 3 inch strips all the way around to give the quilter something to put the quilt on the machine with…
also, she recommended to reduce the bulk when putting on the binding, to trim an inch of each side of the “back”…
I am so excited to see this come back from the quilter…
this project is about 80 x 90 in size…
since this is a finish of sorts…I am linking up with Sarah, Amanda and Myra…
and now for some winners…
the winner of Monday’s giveaway is…Amanda!!
congratulations!!

congrats ladies. Brooke, this is such a pretty quilt. I cant wait to see the finished quilt either. It will be wonderful
Wonderful, and so nice to see it done. I know it has been a real project for sure. I did enjoy helping just the tiny little bit I did last year.
There are so many different ways to make a double sided quilt. Yours is just gorgeous! I can’t wait to see how it’s quilted!
Wow, I love the colors. If you get tired of one side you just flip it over. great idea.
This two sided quilt is gorgeous! Look forward to seeing it with the quilting complete. The colors are so bright and inviting.
what a lovely finish – it’s so beautifully bright and vibrant!
Congrats on your finishes! It will be fun to see it quilted!
Love, love, LOVE your scrappy quilt top!!
I like the quilt. Nice. Did you ever consider taking over the listing of Giveaways that Melissa at Missouri Mel used to do? I miss that. You would be perfect.
Good job! I like the idea of a 2-sided quilt. I actually have an in-law that always uses the backside of the quilt so this would stop that, haha
