This is so fabulous! I recognize so many of the fabrics in your quilt because they are either in my stash or in my current WIPs… By which I mean to say that you have EXCELLENT taste in fabric. 🙂 Seriously, I love the way you mixed up all these prints. You have enough value contrast in the right places that we still get the impact of the piecing designs, which is often lost in quilts that are made up of bright, busy prints. And this quilt just radiates joy. Whoever you’re giving it to is very lucky! I’m curious — Were the two quilt tops exactly the same size originally, or did you have to do some trimming after quilting? I’m wondering because I’ve been told again and again that a slight shift occurs during the longarm quilting process that makes it difficult to perfectly align a pieced backing with the quilt top. The example given is how, if you roll a stack of papers, the ends of the papers are all offset at the end of the roll.
Your two[sided quilt is such a beauty, I’m a little sad to see it go!
I think the second side is my favorite.
Very beautiful. Your quilt is amazing! Thank you for having the giveaway, I’m very happy to have won! Thanks again! Have a fun day!!
Hello,
Thank you for sharing your new quilt! I like both sides, But the slate side speaks to me. What a treat it would be to see it on my bed. I have spent many hours quilting, and sewing, my zen place. Due to an illness I haven’t been able to for a long bit, so your quilt and reading your blog brings back such happiness. Again thank you for sharing, Take care, jo
so pretty 🙂
I love that quilting design, wish I could master it…you are very productive!
I like both sides. I like colorful quilts. This one is a beauty. I have had requests for rather plain ones lately.
Who could choose sides?!?! I love BOTH sides of your fabulous finish!!
