t-shirt update and a giveaway

If you remember….I am working on a t-shirt quilt project.  My next step….layout all the t-shirt designs….

I bought this Kona charcoal solid for the sashing and this stripey fabric may be the binding….jury is still out…

I decided to start cutting out designs and adhearing interfacing to the back for stiffness….

I like to leave about an inch around the whole design….

The designs are all cut and interfacing applied….now to decide on the arrangement…..

The giveaway for the week….there are some fun goodies….what jumps out to you??
Happy Sewing!

I think there is an embroidery design there, perhaps of a Sea Horse?

My daughter and I have been making a T-sirt quilt out of all of the t-shirts that she has outgrown. I started to add interfacng to the back but it was becoming problematic so I stopped. We have not used sashing as all of the squares are different but due to the lots of colour in your squares may be a neutral fabric from your stash. Looking forward to theoutcome. I think you will be finished way before us. Best of luck with it.

Of course the cute elephants jump out, but also that green dots on top of the reds. Reminds me of summer harvests from the garden.

I see Penguin and Fish embroideries and elephants. Plus gorgeous chevrons.
However, I am really interested in your t-shirt quilt. I have a heap of my daughters baby t-shirts that I would love to make into a t-shirt quilt. What sort of interfacing are you using? and do you think it will be strong enough to hold the shape of the quilt.
    Thanks so much!!
