I am very much a random, scrappy kind of person so I would have a very eclectic quilt. Gorgeous scrap giveaway today, I love the florals, I could easily be wrong but they look very much like Tilda fabrics. x

What a spring feeling! Please, count me in too!!!

I think random layout would move the eye around more. Of course, it would be interesting to move the same color diagonally across the quilt.

I also would do random, t-shirt quilts are mostly fun quilts anyway. I love the green scrap with little diamonds.

these are turning out really cool. hmm good question. I suppose if it were me, I would group the same colors together and take a picture, than I would do random colors and take a picture. Then looking at both I would see which I like the best. However you do it, it will be lovely.

Random I think, lovely scraps again.

I would probably mix it up, going for a balance across the quilt–even in “scrappy”, I’d be stressing about coming up with some kind of internal pattern. That’s me…

Lovely, lovely scraps. I especially like the ‘mums. My sister’s favorite flowers were mums, so I always try to gather any mum fabrics and slip them into my quilts, as a little nod to her. Quilts are great that way, aren’t they?

Novice question here-when you do a T-shirt quilt, is it much harder to see w/stretchy cotton? What type of presser foot do you use? I’m looking forward to seeing this done. Most t-shirt quilts I’ve seen are different than this. Your borders are unique which will make for a truer quilt in this sense I think…

I’d mix it up, maybe finding a fun, busy print fabric that incorporates several of the colors used. So far, it’s looking great – t-shirts quilts are one of my favorites, as there’s so much creativity involved. Be sure to show us the finish!

Your t-shirt progress looks great and your scraps look pretty!

Your t-shirt quilt is so fantastically neat and precisely cut. I wish my first t-shirt quilt could have been done this well. I need to try another one now. I love your whole concept of framing out smaller portions. I spent way too much time trying to get huge blocks out of each shirt and they were never quite “right”. Thanks!

I vote random. Not that my vote counts. Love the pink scraps.

I would do random . Love the bright scraps

Regarding the T-shirt blocks: Depends on the recipient, if he is fun loving and flexible, then go with random. If he is structured and follows the rules, then stick with groups of same colored borders. Regarding the giveaway: Scraps are always a welcome and wonderful addition to my postage stamp quilt. Always fun to play along. Thanks.

    Random 🙂

Random placement is usually my preference while trying to avoid like colors ending up next to each other.

    Lovely flowery fabric!
