hello Wednesday!
so….if you were here on Friday…then you saw that I finished bordering all of my t-shirt designs!!
hooray!!
now..the next big step was to begin laying out the quilt…
how do you do that??
so…I like to use this lovely iris quilt as a guide..
it actually serves several purposes..
one, it is a great size to begin with…
and two, I can easily roll up this project when I need to and then unroll it to resume working on it without spending the time relaying out the t-shirt designs!
so, you will notice I began this layout with these large designs as they are most important to the client…
I had separated the designs into several different categories…to help make sure all the Twins shirts, for instance, were not in the same area of the quilt…
I also had a large number of UMD (the University of Minnesota Duluth) shirts to sprinkle throughout…
so here is where I will leave you…
I will admit that as I sew these together, I am sure there will be some shifting…that just seems to happen, but overall I am really pleased…
what do you think??
linking up with Lorna…
and now for the giveaway…
I will tell you…
these are a new upcoming line…
any guesses??
leave me a comment to enter..
I will draw a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!

Really liking that shirt quilt – I have several shirts from my fave basketball team that “somebody” seems to have stained but this type of project would give them a second chance

Great layout idea with using another quilt to roll up in when done for the day! Love how you bordered each T-shirt block. Not sure on the fabric shown, but it looks lovely.
Enjoyed how you layout the quilt and can then roll it up to work on later. I pnce had a felt pad for puzzles similar to this. Fabrics are cute, lotsa dots.
Your t-shirt quilt will be terrific! Don’t know the name of the new line of fabric. Love the polka dots!
