hello Friday!
today…since I have a graduation party and graduation on my agenda…
we are going to take a bit of a break from the Quilt Market tour…
instead…I wanted to share my special birthday quilt finish…
if you remember I have been making these two square in a square quilts for special occasions…
this quilt is for my SIL’s milestone birthday…
and even more special is that both she and my brother, who passed away nine years ago, were born the same year…so this was a special way to honor both of them…
I decided on this older Alison Glass print for the binding on this quilt…
love, love a quilt all rolled up!!
and the finished quilt…
ta-dah!!
it has been gifted and…as you can imagine…she loved it!!!
so as a finish…I am linking up with Sarah and Amanda…..
and now for some winners…
the winner of Monday’s giveaway is….Shirley!!
congratulations!!
I am emailing you…
the winner of Wednesday’s giveaway is…Patty!!
congratulations!!
I am emailing you…
Happy Sewing!
your quilt is so pretty. I love the one square that is not a square in a square
LOVE LOVE LOVE the quilt – the binding and backing really pop the quilt as well. Thank you for the giveaway…going to have a blast quilting with the charms! Have a wonderful day and graduation weekend! Patty
Beautiful quilt! All the different sizes of squares give it so much movement and vibrancy. And of course, the fabrics are just lovely! I’m glad to hear that your sister in law loved it so much.
That backing fabric looks really coo! Great work.
