This picture captures the view of market as we came down the escalator – a fun overview.
So as promised here is the rest of my market report.
We met up with Amanda and the rest of the Design Team for lunch. We headed across the street.
Love these downtown Houston buildings!
This scene reminded me of the book Stuart Little! It was so fun to watch them. Our restaurant was right next to the pond.
Back to market we go! It was fun to walk around with the group and see what interested them!
Tina Givens’ booth – very cool! Julie did have one last appointment with a rep for three companies. One of the companies was Windham. In their booth was the lovely Lotta Jansdotter, the designer of Echo! Then we were onto to Anthology Fabrics. Julie and Sally had their pictures taken with Khristian Howell, but I was off and missed my chance – boo ho!
Random pictures from walking around market.
Ty Pennington’s new fabric line and booth.
One last group picture as we said good-bye to Candice and her Mom!
I do have to say this pic of Candice and I is a favorite of mine!! I so, so enjoyed meeting her IRL!!! These Design Team members are just the best – so wish Jana, Jackie, Stephanie and Johanna could have been there too!
So Amanda was contemplating buying a Gammill!! It was a ton of fun to follow along and watch her play. Just love all the silly faces she makes in front of the camera!!!
Market closed at 6pm. Moda had invited all to a party afterward. Now Julie, Sally and I thought a snack and a drink party, but as we walked into the ballroom…..it was a sit down meal!!! Score!!! It was a wonderful treat after spending all day at Market.
Sally had a Houston Modern Quilt function we made an appearance at.
I met this author of a new scrap quilting book coming in the Spring with Stash books. I also visited with a gal who does marketing for Ann Kelle. All in all I would say it was an awesome day and one I won’t soon forget!!!
So as an overview, here is a picture of the goodies I came home with from Saturday’s activities.
So today, I am doing another giveaway. One person will win this cute little pattern from Lotta Jansdotter for a stuffed kitty, I think, a small charm pack of both Fig Tree’s upcoming line, California Girl, and Cosmo Cricket’s Salt Air.
I will draw a winner on Wednesday morning. To enter, leave a comment, blog, tweet or facebook about it or “like” Silly Mama Quilts on facebook.
Hope you enjoyed your Market visit, I know I did!!
ps-thanks to Julie, Sally and Candice for pics – you gals are the best!!
