hello Wednesday!
so…today I am going to talk a bit about sewing the pouf…and some tips…
click here to read about the beginning of this project…
each pouf has 30 of these sections – 15 for the top and 15 for the bottom!
and 30 sections of canvas and batting = lots of cutting!
the next step is to baste together print fabric, canvas and batting…
the pattern recommends using a Jeans needle, which I would do…
I also used my walking foot for most of this project which made sewing much smoother….
after basting, you trim off the excess canvas and batting…don’t skip this!
so…the next step was to layout pieces to put into 3 sections with 5 pieces in each…
do you see a problem??
hmmmm….even number of fabrics – odd number of pieces!
so…I added some green to the mix…like it…don’t you??
looking forward to seeing your Work In Progress…
and just for fun…
I am giving away a few of these charms…
do you know the fabric line??
I will draw a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!
These pretties look like Blueberry park by Karen Lewis, looking forward to seeing your completed pouf, wondering how much stuffing it will require.
Blueberry Park! Have some in the blues.
Don’t have a clue on fabric line, but I like it.
I’m not familiar with the fabric line.
I don’t know the fabric line, but it’s adorable! Love that “doodle” like print on them.
Looks like Blueberry Park. Love, love, love! The print for your pouf is adorable!
Blueberry Park! Love all of the color ways in that line.
It looks like Karen Lewis’ design!
I would also guess Blueberry Park. The pouff looks cool, I might give one a go once the kids leave home and take one of our many footstools away. I think the cats would love it.
The green looks really nice! Good thinking! 🙂
I love those poufs!!!! Not sure what collection the charms are from but they are very sweet!!!
Love your happy pouf fabrics! I spy some sweet Blueberry Park. 😉 Have a happy day!
Very pretty!! Blueberry Park …..black and white is always great….
Blueberry Park. Love that colorway.
I don’t keep track of the names of too many lines. This is very pretty. Your pouf is looking bright.
I agree Blueberry Park.
Can’t wait to see your pouf! Have no clue on the fabrics, but they sure are pretty! Thanks for the chance to win them.
Blueberry Park! I’ve been meaning to make a pouf. One day I will get to it…
The fabric is from Blueberry Park; Robert Kaufman Fabrics. I especially like the BLACK sunflower print by Karen Lewis from Blueberry Park. Your pouf is coming along nicely!
