he has been in scouts for years and has all sorts of patches and handkerchiefs…
I have a bit of an idea…
I am thinking about doing it like a medallion…
any other ideas??
linking up with Lorna…
and now for the giveaway…
a few more text charms…
leave a comment to enter…
I will announce a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!
Every time you post a scouting project I pray that my brothers don’t see it. Two have been in scouting for years; one actually works for the scouts. If they saw this, I’m sure I would have a file of patches and kerchiefs at my door, waiting to be made in to a quilt! 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
You’ll come up with a great idea…you’re very creative!
You always come up with a super good idea!!! It’s not something that I would jump into because I wouldn’t know where to begin!!!
those text charms are sweet. oh another boy scout quilt. woohoo!!! A medallion sounds interesting. a huge compass somewhere would also me cool, since a boy scout learns about his compass in life.
I will be very interest to see this one. My husband’s nephew is a long time boy scout, not that I am going to volunteer to make him one but one never knows. I always love text fabric and your charms are great.
A medallion sounds like an awesome idea. I will be looking forward to how you adhere all of those patches!
I look forward to seeing what you do with your badges. I have girl scout badges I want to make into a quilt someday.
What a wonderful project. I think it will evolve on its own as you start working. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
Looks interesting. It will be so cool. Have a happy day!! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
I will be curious to see what you come up with for this Boy Scout quilt. Looks like a challenge! Thanks for sharing the giveaway.
thanks again for my win last week 🙂 Those charms would make for great coasters!
So that is what I can do with all those Boy Scout patches that I found stuffed away.
Text charms would go great with the quilt I am starting., thanks for giveaway.
Not for giveaway. Lay out all the pieces. In my family the guys had red wool coats they would have all the badges/patches sewn onto. Maybe you could use red as the backround color. Talk to him and get feedback. Maybe big blanket or sew onto his sleeping bag.
I made a t-shirt quilt once where I was asked to use a few patches. I don’t have any suggestions for the layout but I the one thing I did that made it easier for me was to sew the patches on after quilting. That way I didn’t have to go over them or around them. Those text charms are so cute!
You are so brave to take on this project, but then again, with your ingenuity I know you’ll have a fabulous end product. I can’t wait to see what you do with it!! 🙂
The white with gray squares fabric appeals to me.
You are off on another adventure. I’m waiting to see where it goes.
I do love boy scout projects! I have done few for my nephews!
You are so creative! Love the script charms!
Love the scripts & colors! Thanks for chance to win your Give-a-way too! Looks like you have great project going…looking forward to seeing it finished 🙂
Can’t wait to see what you do with all the boy scout things! Awesome giveaway as usual! x
the end result is going to be so cool – can’t wait to see it!
It will be fun to see how you develop a quilt with the bandanas and patches. Now I feel the guilty mom feeling because I put all my four son’s scout patches and bandanas in boxes and returned them to them.
