hello Monday!
today I thought I would share part of the adventure Eric and I went on to the Minnesota state quilt show…
here in Minnesota the quilt show moves to different locations each year…
this year it was in St. Cloud and one of my friends invited us to go with her…
we enjoyed walking around and seeing all the different quilts…
there were several displays of challenge quilts…
this challenge had only certain fabrics in it…
this was an amazing entry illustrating the book called 100 Dresses…
these dresses were all paper pieced with such attention to detail!!
amazing!!
and here is another in the same challenge…
so stunning!!
be sure to watch for more photos in another post…
does your state have a large quilt show like this??
and for the giveaway…
I dug through some of my older fabric…
so a bit larger pieces…
leave me a comment to enter…
I will announce a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!!
Sounds like you had a wonderful adventure! I look forward to more photos!
Good morning! Love the polkas in the bunch of older fabric! Always enjoy quilt shows. Yes our state has a big one every February.
What a neat idea,! I wish we had something like that show here. Local guilds have shows, but not every year. Can’t wait to see more pictures!

Quilt shows are such fun!! Thanks for the great giveaway. I love the paisley fabric.
I live in Kentucky so you would think there would be a state quilt show, but I am not aware of one. Of course we do have that little thing they do in Paducah a couple times a year!
So many wonderful quilts to see! I think it’s great that the quilt show moves every year.
xx, Carol

Pretty quilts. I like that postage stamp colorful quilt along with the dolphin one! Fun way to spend time with your son. Have a great week!
No big State fair near here. Pretty fabrics. Thanks for the Quilt fair tour.
Love quilt shows! They give you a lot of inspiration. Great fabric!!
Beautiful quilts in the show. What a fun time. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
Our Guild has a fair every second year, and another event called Tote and Gloat every year. That’s the good one. We import a teacher from overseas for some classes prior to the event, then have a day of vendors and the quilt sharing. This is when volunteers parade our latest quilts across a stage while we address the crowd explaining inspiration and pattern etc, then after all the quilts, the teacher gives a talk. And in amongst it all we have about one hundred door prizes, from fabric to chocolates. It’s a fabulous day out, all for about $15, or if you are on committee…a lot of elbow grease.
I wish I had time to go to more shows….but then I would want to buy more fabric at the vendor booths…oh no!! Looks like a wonderful event.
I was hoping to get to St. Cloud for the show but had other obligations. Those little dresses are my favorite. I’ve never been to the big show in Fargo but I’ve been to smaller ones around the state and also to the big ones in Tucson and Phoenix (Mesa) multiple times. Your older fabric still would make a lovely quilt.
