hello and welcome!
today I have the honor of sharing a fun centerpiece tutorial using Meadow Whispers fabric – new from Windham! This new line will ship to stores in July of 2020.
I personally love fun projects and this little centerpiece is sure to please…
I cut 3.5 inch squares from all the prints in this line. I did end up repeating a few as you can see…
I chose the pink stars on white print for my star…to make the star, I used my Christmas Tidings pattern...I love making improv stars! You could also make a sawtooth star here too…
after arranging the squares in a pleasing order and making my star points, I sewed this piece into rows and the rows into one unit…
one of my favorite ways to quilt a piece like this is with an off center circle. I used my walking foot and really love how it turns out. For binding, I selected the light blue star print.
you could make this piece as large or little as you like…
let me know if you have questions…
Happy Sewing!
this really turned out lovely. such pretty fabrics. and the star is so pretty. I love the circle pattern you did. thanks for sharing.
That is so pretty! With those icy blues combined with the pinks and yellows, it could take you from winter right through to spring.
