hello Wednesday!
sometimes…life is so busy and chaotic that you just need to take a break…
when we returned from our vacation…which included driving two vehicles out West, one with my daughter’s stuff for college, getting her settled and buying a few pieces of furniture…
I just needed a “me” project…with no deadlines or guidelines…
so I pulled these out…
we shall see where we go from here…
now I am looking forward to seeing what you are working on…
linking up with Lorna…
and for the giveaway…
mixing some old and new…
spy something fun??
leave me a comment to enter…
I will announce a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!
ps – remember to come back on Friday to share your finishes!!
One of those fabrics is in my linked WIP, LOL!! Those would be perfect in the placemats I am doing. Found you on Let’s Bee Social.
I need to stop buying and start using up!!! We move our oldest to OH for grad school this weekend. With our youngest in her last semesters of college and already gone we will be back to just two. I will have to learn how to cook small! Good luck on your project, just have fun!
I see some pretty purple fabrics.
not sure what happened to the reply I just wrote. Glad you’re home safe.
xx, Carol
It always takes a bit of time to re-group after a big trip like that! Sewing is the perfect thing to get life back on track, in my opinion. In the giveaway fabrics the blue piece on the bottom looks interesting.
Vacations are kind of like that…one needs a vacation after the vacation. We’re exhausted as we’re unpacking this week. You missed a good shop hop.
Please don’t enter me in the giveaway. I just wanted to check in and see how you are doing with your daughter being off to college. It is such a strange experience when they move to their home away from home. Where did she go? Love the pull for your next project – very pretty!
Hope your mojo returns soon.
Half square triangles! I love them!
When I saw that large print of yours I immediately thought “Stack N Wack”! I haven’t made one in years but have a piece I want to make up.
oh your fabrics are going to make something pretty. have fun creating.
Have fun with whatever you choose to make. I’m sure it will be fabulous. Thank you for the linky party.
When I need a creative boost, I make fabric slabs. Improv blocks of fabric, themed only by colour. Sometimes I cut them down and join them to make a Christmas quilt, or use them as a background for a collage quilt. It uses up scraps, but it’s also relaxing, as there is no pressure and certainly no matching points.
I’m sure your mojo will return soon! I linked up to my last post. I’ve done more, but I didn’t want to make that post any longer.
Love the fabrics for your “me project”. Looking forward to seeing it evolve. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
I hope you relax and get settled in. Praying your daughter loves college. The fabrics look relaxing.
Please, count me in too!
What lovely fabric.. and premade half square triangles … the best kind! This is my first time here – I did link a post in the linky party. I’m enjoying checking out your blog.
Nothing I like better than making scrappy quilts, would love to add these to my stash of scrap fabric! Thank you for the chance!
