this week I decided to jump into a project from this awesome book!

I found these gorgeous Bonnie and Camille jelly roll Little Ruby strips in my stash…
I thought they would be perfect to try out one of the patterns in Sue’s book…
one of my favorite features of this book is how Sue has grouped projects using specific precuts…
this Jack’s Cross quilt I thought would look great in my strips…
here is a light block…
and my dark block…
now I just need a bit more time to work on this project…

I love the blocks, everything always looks fabulous with Bonnie and Camille fabric. I am not usually a lover of dark fabrics but I much prefer the navy block. x

The light blocks look like a summer picnic cloth.
I have books I probably will never get to anything in them….then I’ve checked out books and made copies of the patterns I want to use….again, I will probably never get around to them.

I really like that pattern. She’s found a way to add some interest to the cross block we see so much of (which I like, in general, anyway).
Jack’s Cross is a nice block. I like the dark one best.
