into the deep, mittens + winners

hello Friday!
today I am excited to share two finishes with you…

into the deep mittens
if you were here on Wednesday
then you saw I was working on some mittens…
I thought you might enjoy seeing these all lined up…
most have been sold, but there is one pair available

into the deep
so, if you remember, this is where I left you with my into the deep project
I guess many of you were unfamiliar with the term “magic corners”…
hopefully today you will have a visual…

into the deep
so here you can see the diagonal line I drew on the backside of my squares…
this was my sewing line…

into the deep
here are my finished blocks…
this pattern talked about a 3.5 inch strip around the outside of all of the blocks, but I decided to forgo that…
I really feel in love with how these looked in this layout…

into the deep
and here is my top all sewn together…

into the deep
I decided to do my favorite curvy line quilting…

into the deep
and my finish!
hooray!!

into the deep
this piece was a Christmas gift to one of my sister-in-laws…
she loves the shore..so this was perfect for her!

since these are finishes…
I am linking up with Sarah, Amanda and Myra

Love the curvy lines, it does not look like a difficult quilting thing to do.

Those mittens are FABULOUS!! (As evidenced by the fact that you only have ONE pair remaining.) A friend bought a pair of mitts that were similar and so toasty warm. Congrats on your quilt finish!!
