Pinwheels!!!
Diamonds!
Moda Love is my favorite pattern for HSTs right now. I’ve made pillows from the left overs from quilt bindings. Every one has been lovely!
Modern bursting star quilt (Pattern from Midnight Quilter-Angela Walters) is a great way to use hst
I love the patchwork boat I made recently using hst, that is what I see. Come join me tomorrow for Put your foot down linky party.
I recently saw a Yankee Pinwheel block created with three colors in different shades creating the pinwheel effect. I’m not create with color terminology. Color theory is elusive for me.
I saw some HSTs placed to look like flying geese made in halves and it looked pretty cool. Might be fun to play around with that.
Oh, I see a chevron quilt or pillow! Looks like there are enough to make it go light to dark, too!
Based on the colors I see, I am thinking something patriotic for the 4th of July. Maybe some stars!
How about just sewing them together randomly and see what happens?
I love making stars with them
Arrange them into a pretty design and make a tote bag to carry your projects or new purchases!

Pinwheels!
Hi Brooke! That looks like a patriotic table runner to me, made with red stars and blue stars or a combination of them. Or place them in a chevron or a herringbone pattern . . . or pinwheels. So many options with HSTs! ~smile~ Roseanne
Hello. What pretty HST’s These would be pretty on the border of a table runner for summer.
I vote for pinwheels! Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
I’d make a pillow out of your little squares.
Pretty! Maybe a table runner with value-based diamonds running up and down it. And can I just say, how typically quilter-y it is to have a pile of hst’s and then pounce on them and decide now is the time to make something out of them? I just made a small “something” out of little, bitty strips of batik strings left over from another project (not like I had anything else I should have been finishing up and putting the binding on…).
I recently made a pillow cover with big squares made of HSTs. The original idea was for a quilt but I never finished it. So cut out 2 pillow covers front and added the back with white heavy fabric.
I like the hourglass.
I have a big stack too, squared up and ready??? just what to do??? I think big diamonds~

I just had the same problem as you – leftover HST’s from a prior project. Then I saw this on Pinterest, https://www.pinterest.com/pin/AZYZSCV6TMrf_4GoOm3FXAPDXsPLidZkpUmkTy1g1oms8V06ZNEUPu0/
and made it up. Now I have to figure out how to quilt it!
I love the look of the hourglass. Could also use them as alternate block with a pieced block. Hope you have fun with your new project.
