hello Wednesday!
do you ever scroll through instagram looking for inspiration?
awhile ago I happened upon this block and immediately put it up on my design wall…and it has been there for quite awhile…
I think this will be what I make with the half square triangles I showed last week…
what do you think??
linking up with Quiltfabrication….
for the giveaway today…it is anybody’s guess…
leave a comment to enter…I will announce a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!
I’ve got a ‘thing’ for HSTs and Pinwheel Blocks… so that layout looks great!
I love the look of it!!
It is lovely. If it’s been on your design wall for days and you haven’t felt the need to rearrange it then it must be the right choice for you!
That’s a lovely block!!! I’m still working on mastering HST, but I’ve several projects in mind where they will be prominent. Can’t wait to see your HST creation!!!
Ooh, I like this!
I try not to scroll through for inspiration too much. I find the hours seen to disappear when I do! ☺
This is such a lovely block. So many possibilities with fabrics. I have to be careful when I go to pinterest I loose time. Have a lovely day.
Hi Brooke! I just love playing around with HSTs. They are so versatile and you just never know what pattern you will stumble upon. This block looks slick – I especially love the different shades of blue fabrics interspersed throughout. ~smile~ Roseanne
Interesting block, does it have a name?
Great block for HST’s! Would love to win!
Yes, use the 1/2 squares to make what you want, the design has been calling to you.
I like this block a lot. I am thinking of using oversized HST’s — to make a bed quilt using this block pattern. I think it would be really fun if I could make nine 30″ blocks.
Cool Block!! I love HST’s…. Thank you for chance to win a mystery surprise…giggle I do love Pinterest too…definitely causes time to fly by :/ LOL
Thanks for sharing this idea! I have tons of leftover HSTs from binding trims that I hate to throw away. PS. Would you kindly share the dimensions of your super capes? I want to make some for our Child Life Department at the hospital where I work! Peds nurse for life!!
Very interesting project!
Love how this block lays out. Will have to remember it for the umpteen HST’s that I need to make from the scraps that a friend sent me. And thanks for the chance to wind the mystery giveaway!
Great idea. I love playing with hst’s. I always have to take a picture, though, because I come up with something I really like, then put them away, and the next time I take them out I can’t remember what I thought was brilliant. 🙂 But it’s fun–like a kids game of Tantagrams. Which is another good idea for things to make for your grandbaby eventually, little tantagram cards made of fabric or felt to make patterns from…
I have to limit “looking for inspiration”. It’s like going down a rabbit hole for me. Love the block. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
I like it! Sew it up and get ‘er done!
I like your block! Isn’t IG filled with inspiration!
