hello Monday!
so…last week I decided to take a bit of time to make a few more mug rugs for my etsy shop…
I realized I had some great new fabrics I had not used in any projects yet…
fabric shopping in your stash is the best!
I think I found some great combinations for new mug rugs…
what do you think??
how many times do we buy fabric that we are in love with and get home and set it aside because of other projects or commitments…
I know I am guilty…
so off I go to sew these up…
and the fabric giveaway for today…
spy something good??
leave me a comment to enter…
I will announce a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!
I’m guilty of this too Brooke!
Lots of pretty combinations! I like the trees. 🙂
Who isn’t guilty??Few of us I think. But it is always a nice surprise to find something hiding in a corner someplace. I like the pink star fabric. By the way the bib was darling.
those fabrics are pretty. looking forward to seeing the mug rugs. I don’t tend to buy fabric unless there is a plan for it.
Sometimes it’s nice to go back and find those pieces you had squirreled away or hidden and is especially exciting when they compliment something else you have so well. It’s like a nice surprise you left for your future self, haha
I love making quick projects like these, instant gratification. You have have some lovely fabrics, i really like the one with the scissors on it. x
I recently reorganized my fabrics and found several pieces that I didn’t remember. It was a pleasant surprise!
Love those red polka dots
You are so right about that! A good way to be reminded of the treasures you have is to take a friend into your sewing room and see her get excited about your fabric–you might see it with new eyes then.
You always have the cutest polka dots! They are a big hit at our house, both with the quilter (me) and my resident consultant. 🙂
I think I see cookie exchange!
Guilty! I spy some Allison Glass!
Always! I can’t tell you how many times I buy/order fabric because I love it, then it gets put to the side when it arrives. My drawers have many pretties in them waiting for their projects.
Those are some great fabric combinations for the mug rugs, Brooke!
How fun, to find “lost” fabric!
(Yes… I, too, will get fabrics because I love them… And they might get overlooked/lost for a while!)

Mug rugs are a great idea for using scraps but I usually use them to stand vases on
Polka dots! Love them.
Scrappy things can be very pretty ..ty for sharing… happyness04431@yahoo.com
Your fabrics are wonderful! Love the green with the dots. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
I think you did good! Love the darker blues you put together. There’s a floral near the top right in your scrap photo that looks pretty!
This always happens to me… the real surprise is discovering a purchase months later!! The frustration is not remembering where a stash was put!!
I was putting away new fabric this weekend and found everything to make a quilt that I bought….I’m pretty sure……in 2012! Cut it al out yesterday and started sewing last night. Love the red with the white polka dots!!
The fun of a fabric stash!! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
I like the pink and purple star fabric.
I spy flowery stuff!
I found some fabric this week that was a remnant marked 2/4/83! Can you believe it? Love all the green scraps!
Please, count me in too!
