hello Wednesday!
today I am excited to share another fun Cricut project with you!
Cricut has teamed up with Simplicty to bring you fun projects that can be cut using the Cricut maker…
I selected this adorable art caddie in Design Space to make…
doesn’t it look soooo cute??
one of the best parts – you can print these instructions out!
it makes it so much easier to gather all of your supplies!
my fabrics…except I ended up swapping out the pink ovals for some orange plus…love how these remix fabrics play together!
now here is where the Cricut saves time!
with both a washable marking pen loaded along with the rotary cutter…
I was able to cut my interfacing and material and it was all numbered and marked to make construction so much easier!
win-win!!
I am ready to begin sewing!
now I will let you know that I chose to cut my batting and stabilizer pieces with my rotary cutter…
there were also sewing directions from Simplicity to print out and use…
my front and back with pockets…
and my sides with their pockets…
building the outside…
so fun!!
since at times there were a lot of layers to sew through…I used my binding clips to hold it all together…just a fun tip!
and the outside is together…
I will say that between the photos on Design Space and in the Simplicity pattern, if you get stuck, you can find an illustration to help you figure out how to sew it together…
and now sewing the lining together…
you leave an opening in it to put the stabilizer pieces in and to turn the bag right side out…
the stabilizer pieces for the sides, front, back and bottom…they really do make a huge difference!
and ta-dah!!
so, so cute and lots of great space to keep all sorts of supplies!!
I even thought it would make a great caddie for quilting…especially if you were off to sew for the day!!
I thought you might enjoy a few more pictures…
thanks again to Cricut and Simplicity for the fun opportunity to try out one of their patterns and once more see why the Cricut Maker really is an amazing machine…to add in the prep of a sewing project so there is more time for sewing and creating!!
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial…
Happy Sewing!
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.
What a cute caddy! It would be perfect for car trips.
With the holiday I must have missed this email. Really cute. Glad I found it.
this is wonderful. the bright fabrics make it special.
Very cute!
That turned out wonderfully. Looks like it would be handy for many different hobby/supplies.
