hello Monday!
last week I had an idea that I could use my Cricut maker for…
you might remember that I have made Advent Calendars that had Merry Christmas embroidered on them…
I have my rows already to go…
but needed the Merry Christmas for the top panel…and I am not fast at embroidering…
I had one of those awe-ha moments…
why not use my Cricut Maker to design the phrase and then cut it from the iron-on I had??
I will admit that it took me a couple of tries to remember how to place the iron-on in the machine, but I did finally get it…
I made two sets for the calendars I already have prepped….
next I got out my Easy Press to put the letters on the top panels…
so I decided to adhere the letters directly on my panel…
and I really like it…
what do you think??
so I will be back…sometime…hopefully soon…with the finished Advent Calendar…
so I may be onto something here…we shall see…
and the giveaway for today…
spy something fun??
leave me a comment to enter…
I will announce a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!
Great idea for your Advent Calendar!! I see some text fabric in your pile!
Those cutters seem pretty handy! Love the navy fabric on the left hand side of the scrap pile.
I just bought my first Cricut last week.. love these fabrics!!
That little Captain America in the scraps is so cute!
It seems you are just full of ideas for creating-ALL kinds of things!
Wow, that worked great. I like it lots, and a great way to do other projects in the future.
In the corner is a little piece of aqua.
What a wonderful idea for your advent calendar. I love the Merry Christmas on the fabric. Cant wait to see the finished project. Have a wonderful Monday.
I like the floral piece in the upper right corner.
I love that we quilters can use the Cricut to work for us and simply at that!

What a cute idea! I think that cutting text might be the way I’d get the most use out of a Cricut if I had one.
