hello Wednesday!
this week…I have been sewing up some wip projects…
one of them is making some bibs for a consignment shop…
fortunately when I made my last batch…I cut out an extra set…
I like to back them with chenille….
however we had a bit of a snowstorm…and my kids ended up home early with no basketball games, so not much sewing got done today…
linking up with Lorna….
and for some fun…
I am giving away these charm squares…
care to guess the designer or fabric line??
leave me a comment to enter…
I will draw a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!
That is a great idea to use chenille for the backing on bibs!!! As for those charms… they are pretty and I’ve seen the fabric collection before, but the name escapes me (too early in the morning is my excuse)
Nope I don’t have a clue on the line the charms are from, but they sure are pretty and have a quiet and calming feel! We got some ice and snow-3-4″ with the latest storm.
I have no idea either but they sure are pretty!
I would have no idea on fabric line or designer. They are lovely fabrics though.
I like the idea of using chenille on the back of a bib. How are these closed? Do you have a pattern that I could use? I just got two great nieces and another due in June
Sorry I don’t know the name either. Very pretty though!
I love making bibs too, Brooke, and have made lots of them! I’m thinking those charms are from the Paris Flea Market by Moda. I made a lap quilt using them and LOVE that line!
Rose prints always remind me of my grandmother. She’s the one who taught me embroidery
Very pretty florals but I don’t know what collection they are from.
A “bit” of a snowstorm? Hilarious.
We had lots of snow last week
but warmer temps and lots of
rain so far this week and most
of the snow is gone. I don’t
know who the designer is,
and the squares are very
pretty.
Carla from Utah
Don’t have a clue what the fabric line is but I like the polka dots!
No, I don’t know the designer but they have a soft relaxing feel.
Can’t guess the designer….love them, they’re very feminine
Afraid I don’t know the designer but I would definitely like to win them! They’d make perfect patchwork bibs for a new baby girl arriving soon coincidentally enough! X
Are the squares from 3 Sisters
I love the way you sew the chenille to the bib before cutting. So smart!!
I have no idea of designer or line but they are beautiful. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
The florals are pretty.
The fabrics for the bibs are so cute. I like the florals and dots charms.
Cute bibs and loving the idea for some baby gifts I need to make- I live in a snow area too – I am sure we will get more soon coming from your way across lake MI to us 🙂 I love the pretty rose fabric and dots – my first thought was Tanya Whelan- her Lulu Roses line… not sure but it makes me think of my rose garden and Spring!
I do not know the fabric designer, but it is really pretty! Thanks!
Wow, that is some snow!! We are suppose to be getting some ice, which i hate!! The line is from Moda, which I love!!
Love your snow! 🙂 Stay warm!!! and the polka dots are my fav!!!
I make many bibs and you just showed my such a simple way to put the two pieces together without having to cut the backing! Thanks! I think the fabric might be from a Tanya Whelan collection.
love the bibs, expecially those pirates. I don’t know the line ( heck, I never know the line) , but the charms sure are pretty 🙂
Cute bibs. Not sure of the fabric line but very pretty.
