hello Monday!
a few weeks ago, my bestie came to town for a week’s visit…
aside from sewing and visiting, we have begun to add quilt shop hopping to our routine since many of the local shops where she lives have closed up….and truth be told it is ALWAYS more fun to shop together…
this shop does this fun photo for visitors from far distances….
I always enjoy seeing what she buys…and usually decide to buy some of the same…she has such good tastes!!

I love shopping with friends, I meet up once a year in November with my best friends for a day to attend a sewing and knitting festival.
how fun to have a bestie that loves to sew like you do. and to include shopping in there also is so fun. i like what the shop does for long distance visitors. my mom and i was like that. she is gone now. and none of my other friends sew or really care to go shopping. love it when you share your experiences.

Your outing sounds like so much fun. I can’t wait until I can go fabric shopping with my best friend. We’ve added her daughter-in-law to our outings–how lucky we are that she is a fellow fabric lover, and I’m so thankful that I can count her among my closest friends, also. Two in one family, what are the chances? I keep thanking her son for his good taste. 😉
I, too, have a special quilty shopping friend! 2 sets of eyes are always better! And it does make for such fun memories, always lots of laughing when shopping with her!!
I’ve started taking my mother-in-law out for shop hopping- she is relatively new to quilting even though she can sew…She wants to build a stash! ~ And I’ve ordered 2 sets of that lovely deer print. It is just too Cute- Just for my sweet little grand baby (5 months old today)!
I’m excited to know you are a fellow Minnesotan!!! My two daughters and I love to fabric shop together! Usually there is coffee involved also. We love Quilt Haven!

I like the Alison Glass bits still peeking out. I’m glad to hear you had such a wonderful time with your friend, social media can’t replace time spent doing things “in person “ with the ones we love, though I am certainly grateful for free long distance phone calls these days. I hate to think what my phone bill would be like otherwise…..probably a bit like my power bill, now that winter has struck.
