hello Wednesday!
well, the summer mayhem is in full force…not getting to as much sewing as I would like…
but loving this time with my kids…it goes sooooooo fast!
so my first project with the Meriwether fabric is to make a bag…
I decided this would be the perfect project to try out the cork I purchased at market!
oh my goodness this product is a dream…
it cuts like butter…
sews super well…
the only smallish issue I had was with ironing it…that didn’t quite go as planned…
so I will leave you with this picture…
what do you think so far??
linking up with Lorna…
and the giveaway for today…
do you know the line or designer??
leave me a comment to enter…
I will announce a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!
ohh I look forward to seeing your bag. look at those adorable kitties. I agree with summer. I tend not to sew as much during this time either. that is ok. I spend a lot of time with family and friends and that is sooo worth it all.
have a great week.
I don’t know the line or the designer, but we like kitties in our house. Well actually, most of us do. We have one, our daughter has one, our granddaughter had 2, lost both just recently, our other granddaughter has two. Nuff about that. Love the idea of cork for a bag. I haven’t seen it in the stores yet, but our nearest big quilt store is 150 miles away. I’ll keep an eye out for it, though.
Cork sounds cool for a bag! Oh I’m loving that kitty fabric!! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom

Bag makings one of my favourite things to do, much quicker than quilts too. Saying that I tend to master a style and then make several of them as presents, so I get a lot of practise with one design at a time. The giveaway charms are very sweet. x
Bags I love them, waiting to see yours! Sorry I didn’t know the name of the cute fabrics, but from reading other comments I know now how it is. Some people are so smart.
Thanks for the information about making the bag! I don’t know the designer of the kitty fabric, but I would love to make a pencil pouch with it. Kids would love it!
I’ve never used cork so I look forward to seeing your finished bag!
I’ve heard so much about cork but haven’t got my hands on any. Cute cat fabric!!
I don’t know the designer but those kitties sure are cute. Thanks for hosting the linky party. I’ll be watching your progress on the bag as I am curious about the cork. The bag is lookin’ good.
This is very cute kitty fabric. I have other prints but do not recall seeing this one.
Saw your IG post. It’s by Windham Fabric, designer iamlunasol (Felice Regina). Love cats and would love to win this.
Looking forward to seeing your finished bag….love those kitties!
I don’t know the line or designer. My google search didn’t help me out! Cute prints though!
The purple cat fabric is awesome! Your project is beautiful and look forward to seeing the completed bag. Thanks for the oopportunity to enter the giveaway.
Lovely bag project! The cork looks good but is it sturdy enough for the handles? Cute fabric bundle and no idea about the line or the designer,….
I always love seeing your WIPs – this is cute! I need some of those cat fabrics in my life 🙂
Cute fabric — don’t recognize it. Like the cats for sure.

I believe it’s called Caturday by Felice Regina (Windham Fabrics)
Bags are such a great way to be able to enjoy pretty fabrics on a daily basis. The charms with the cats are so cute (and amusing!). Thanks for sharing.
