That Boy Scout can be proud of his accomplishments!! I would suggest a narrow border for this one!
This is going to be wonderful. I know grown men who would love this quilt. Thank you for the linky party!
The hearts fabric looks fun.
your scout quilt is wonderful. oh my. if you dont mind i would love to copy your design for my sons patches? he has a lot also. what a wonderful reminder for our young men. thank you for sharing. have a wonderful day
I would say your next border should be twice as big as the inner one, but if it’s for use make it as big as needed to cover him.
Same size as the green and tan boarders you have on the inside. You just need a final frame around the quilt. Maybe a narrow stripe of black, to separate it from all the colors, then the regular width. Looks great. What color are you thinking about?
I am sooo loving your boy scout quilt!!! I had to show Tu-Na Helper. He’s wondering if you backed the neckerchiefs? I think he’s thinking I should make one of these for our scouting sons. We had 4 of which 3 made it to Eagle and 1 to Life. This quilt is so cool. What a great memory quilt.
What a great finished top! I love Quilting Tangent’s idea of a narrow black frame, then a border the same width as the green strips in the quilt. It doesn’t need much as there is so much interest in the blocks you made.
The boy scout quilt is just awesome! I would never have thought it would be so spectacular. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
The quilt is awesome – love the way the patches go round & round & round with the green & beige borders Just a narrow border – I’d go green top & bottom & beige on the sides! x
This is a cool concept and I bet you have inspired some others to attempt this kind of quilt. Thanks for sharing your ideas and you talent.
xx, Carol

What a great way to commemorate Scouting and use all the patches and kerchiefs. With a new Eagle Scout in our family, you’ve given me great inspiration. Thanks!
