Wow, you were pretty near my HOUSE when you traveled through northern Indiana. (I never ever drive through Chicago). Once when I did on 94, Terry had a little too much to drink when visiting my brother (in Chicago where I was born!) He was in the back seat telling my daughter that I was going to kill us. I NEVER drive anymore when we go there. He was a truck driver and he is a professional, don’t you know. Glad you made it safe and sound.
xx, Carol
I live in Illinois but have never been to Chicago nor do I want to. You are braver than me. thank you for the linky party.
Today they are correct for me! Prayers that all gors well! ND is lovely, our oldest pup is named after the school. Our oldest daughter spplied there but wasn’t accepted. Pretty fabric!
good for you. family is so very important. i live in the suburbs of Chicago and i will not drive in Chicago.
Never been to Chicago. Pretty fabrics.
Yay for family helping family!
Ho Brooke! What a fun adventure that must have been. When I looked at your first photo, I thought hey I know that skyline. You are in my stomping ground – or passing through anyway. How fabulous that your MIL got to go home. Is there a better word than HOME??!! It will help her (and her peeps) SO much just being home. {{Hugs}} I know it will be challenging, especially if you are not close by. That is just so wonderful that you could go and help. I was the one at home, doing everything, so when a sibling/family member could step in for anything it was greatly appreciated. Happy Wednesday to you! ~smile~ Roseanne
Wonderful that you were able to be of support to family. Very impressed with driving in Chicago. Unfortunately, I just don’t have the confidence to do that. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
You were brave to drive through Chicago. I drove through the tunnel in Mobile in May, and I was a nervous wreck. LOL
I think it’s wonderful you conquered. I like the roses.
Wow, good for you for taking on that driving challenge! Driving in large cities is not for me. Love the prints in the scraps!
Congratulations on conquering against your fears! Love all the flowery fabric! I see pieces for a patchwork project bag!
Oh, I’ll bet she is so relieved to be home. There is nothing else like sleeping in your own bed. I’m happy for her. Hooray for you for helping out; it’s hard tough when folks are old, even when the events are happy ones.
Very generous of you to help and so happy you managed to drive in a big city. For me is always kind of scary!
Cute selvedge with the Stars!
