Happy Sewing!
Cute quilt… I could see big, loopy swirls in the cloud and long, unevenly spaced stitch lines for rain in the surrounding areas.
Various sizes of feathers between colored strips. A bird in the sky may work
However you do it I’m sure it will be beautiful.
I am completely rubbish at quilting anything other than straight lines, but, if I could then I would do different sized raindrops all over. x
Maureen’s idea is darling–I am terrible at this and can’t wait to see what everyone else says. ;). I have to say, this is a darling quilt, and so clever–to use such a bright white for the cloud–but then make it a low volume!–and have the sky fabric be a creamy color rather than a soft blue. It’s always the unexpected choices that cause us to stop and take notice. I need to remember that when I’m designing my own quilts.
Very cute! Int he close-ups I didn’t get it at first but then when I saw the whole quilt I thought it was great!
Such a cute quilt…such cute fabrics…diagonal stitch lines going through the blocks…corner to corner…from both directions…
How about some free motion swirls in the clouds and either straight lines or serpentine lines in the rain? a nice contrast, but keeping it pretty simple.
Well I am stumped, but I love the idea of the quilt and can’t wait to see what you do with it. I see a piece of cork and would love to see what it feels like. Your scraps are always love great.
Swirls around the clouds for sure!
In the pile a fabric strips, I see a lovely grey and white triangle print that makes me think of tents.
Cute quilt – I would do vertical lines on the bottom, loop di loops in the cloud and horizontal lines around the cloud, if it were me.
I see raindrops, wind and a rainbow.
what a sweet quilt this will be. ideas? hmm. to me this seems more like a happy quilt with the colors under the sweet cloud. I would quilt swirls and then maybe put some of similar colors in multiple stirps as a border. have fun with this
I see Swirls for clouds with maybe a bird or two.
Maybe some colorful circles on the opposite side in different sizes.?
I didn’t realize that this was a cloud until I looked at it the right way. I would quilt swirling loops to make it look like windy weather.
I can only do straight lines, but I want to try some of the embroidery quilt patterns I have one of these days.
I spy some pretty colors in the scraps!

Love the strip of Amanda Herring fabrics in your scraps!
Cute straight lines of different lengths to represent rain drops. Make it modern quilting. I love the cork strip in your scraps.
Beautiful quilt. Please show what you decide to do. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
Sorry I can’t give any quilting advice! Looking at the fabric scraps, I’d like to see more of the white one with little houses on it. Looks cute!
I collect the different colours and find a paper-piecing pattern…
Your work is so exceptional! I have not suggestions! Do I spy a scrap of that new cork fabric!
