hello Friday!
well…still trying to get my bearings this summer, but loving the days full of time with my kids…they grow up so fast in this season!
so..if you remember this is where I left you on Wednesday...
so…I want to share just a bit about my bag…
I used 3.5 inch strips for the outside…
I used two layers of Pellon fusible interfacing to achieve the body I was looking for…and then I added another 3 inch strip of interfacing along the top edge to give it extra strength…
since I don’t care for a seam at the bottom of the bag, I opted to make my cork accent one piece that would cover the bottom and come up each side…
since this cork is so awesome, I decided to make my handles using it…I cut a piece 3 inches wide, folded in half with wrong side together and sewed all around it..they turned out fabulously!!
and here is the finished bag!!!!

since this is a finish…I am linking up with Sarah, Amanda and Myra…

The tote bag is awesome. I love the cork as well.
I love the bag. The cork sure makes a difference. It really accents the bag fabrics too.
