hello Monday!
I hope that each of you has a quilting buddy…
my quilting buddy lives far away, but every so often I am blessed with a box of goodness…
and today I am sharing about my latest box…
my bestie, Donna, sent me her leftover Cotton + Steel fabrics…
have you ever had fabrics that seem to multiply the more projects you use them in??
well…this was the case for Donna…
so I volunteered to take these off her hands…
so what would you make??
I would love to hear your ideas…
here is the fabric scrap giveaway for the week…
spy something good??
leave me a comment to enter…I will draw a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!
I have the same bundle of cotton and steel, as much as I love them….I have no clue what to do with them!!!
What a lovely pack…
What a great purse or purses I could make with them. Very pretty.
Those are lovely Cotton + Steel leftovers. They coordinate so well that I would use them for place mats or bags. sjvonfumetti at yahoo dot com
love the christmas fabric
Love your scraps for the week!! I spy some darling Christmas fabric. As to your friends share, you are so lucky!!What a great friend to share these with you. You could make some darling pillows, wall hangings, or mug rugs. How nice to have such a generous friend!!
What great sewing buddies!! I am making some totes and fabric buckets to put holiday gifts in and almost have mine done! the cotton and steel fabric would work for that.! I am loving the holiday trees in the fabric scraps!!
What a great ‘bestie’ to have!
I don’t recognise any scraps this week!
I spy trees. For your fabrics a quilt pattern that plays lights against darks. And do something special with the forest fabric in picture 3.
I spy some cute Christmas trees!!
What a great friend! You are so lucky!
I am lucky that my sewing friends live nearby, not only do we pass on fabric to each other but usually one of us can help out when we have a sewing question too. I have never had any Cotton and Steele, but I think I would be making pouches as Christmas presents. x
These are so pretty! Lucky you!
I am addicted to quilts these days so I would have to use them for a quilt, for sure!
Thank you (and your bestie!) so much for the opportunity!
I think it is so neat to have a quilting buddy and especially one who shares. I would use the bigger pieces to make microwave bowls and the smaller pieces to make drawstring bags at this time of the year for gift giving. I make scrap quilts so small pieces are always welcome.
I love the fishing lures! I would love to have a quilting buddy… I know a couple of great ladies that quilt but are very frugal in their purchases and normally borrow from our quilting bee group or use recycled clothing. I am the one that seems to have the bulging cabinets and bags hiding in the storage closet…Yes! full of fabrics~ I love the look of crisp NEW fabric! I give some away here and there but it is fun to get a special surprise from that special friend!
Love the Christmas lights and holiday trees; these scraps are awesome for quilted tree ornaments. But I digress, the C&S fabric I would use for a set of pillows, highlighting the fabrics by using a Square in a Square pattern on the diagonal. Either a rectangular pillow with slightly larger SiaS or a square pillow with smaller SiaS.
I just saw a Dancing Plus quilt on The Colorful Fabriholic blog and I want to make one! I think it would be a great pattern for your new fabrics, and maybe some other favorites you might want to add to the mix. Quilting buddies are the best! I have 2 quilting buddies who I see almost daily in fitness classes. We love to share our finishes, our ideas, etc. And sometimes we shop for fabric! Your scraps are lovely, I’m admiring the Christmas prints as I am currently making scrappy Christmas zip pouches.
I would make some nontraditional Christmas stockings…and i spy some trees.
You have one great friend! I love the Christmas tree lights.
Those are wonderful fabrics – great colors and patterns. I would have to look at them for a while and consider possibilities. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
Wonderful buddy and a great care packag!!!
I spy a lovely set of bookmarks made with scraps and a golden tassel!
Would love to see them in nine patches with a great constant background
I spy some adorable Christmas lights and trees 🙂
I spy some sweet Christmas fabric! I’d like to make some scrappy blocks and Christmas ornaments! Happy Thanksgiving!
Would love to have a quilting buddy close by. I love making scrap quilts and would use these for my next one.
