I thought I would give a short demo on my block design for my Fandango Project for Charlene. After much discussion with my friend, I decided to purchase a Jelly Roll (for those not familiar with the term it is 2 1/2 strips precut). I separated the strips a bit and then I cut each strip in half. They come 40-42 inches. I prefer to work with a shorter length plus I like more fabric combinations. For this block I made two units – 2 strips sewn together and 4 strips sewn together. Each set is cut into 4 1/2 and 8 1/2 units. So here are some finished blocks and then a few more on my design wall. I think the effect is great! Happy Friday!
