hello Wednesday!
well…Christmas is less than a week away…
still sewing Christmas gifts??
I have one more order to finish…but I am close!
so…this is where I left you last week…
the next step is to draw another diagonal line…you can see it better on this dot fabric…
sew a 1/4 inch on either side…
cut on the line…open it up and press….
each unit opened up looks like this…
you trim off the extra background and then cut again in the center…about 3.5 inches for this one…according to the pattern…
here are my flying geese so far…
what do you think??
looking forward to seeing what you have been working on…
linking up with Lorna…
and the giveaway for today…
everyone could use dots…right??
leave a comment to enter…
I will announce a winner on Friday…
Happy Sewing!
Dots! I love dots! John always says, “All of our quilts should have some polka dot fabric in them.” We’re pretty close to making that true.
I LOVE those floating geese. I have never seen them before, that I know of. I am totally interested in this project.
Merry Christmas
Dots make any quilt fun! Can’t wait to see where these geese end up.
This is going to be awesome and not just because it has flying geese. I am really liking the green, blue and orange. As always, thank you for the linky party.
Your geese are coming along nicely. I can always use dots. I love dots. LOL. I finished my last sewing project for Christmas yesterday. You have got this. You can do it. Have a very special and wonderful Christmas.
I am crazy about dots!!!!!
I’ve never seen this method for flying geese before, is there a lot of waste?
I’ve never seen this method either. I guess that’s the joy of quilting, there is always something new to learn. Merry Christmas from New Zealand, albeit a sunny, summery one (hopefully) in our case.
Love seeing how you are making the flying geese. Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.
I am very intrigued by the flying geese you are making. Great teasers! Happy Holidays Brooke!
I am anxious to see those colors put together. I’m done with my main Christmas sewing, but as always, I ran out of time to do some little things I’d had planned. Something else always pops up to take my time.
Have a Merry Christmas!
Gotta love dots! My stash has a drawe filled with dots only
Very cool flying geese. Enjoy your holidays!! 🙂 🙂 angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
The flying geese are very cool! And the dot fabrics — I just love dots!
Like your flying geese method!
